Join hands with Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (HKIRA), this co-hosted seminar aims at giving insight into the working habitat and talent requirement of the IR industry, we are pleased to have invited Mr. Aldous Chiu, CFA, General Manager – Investor Relations, New World Development Company Limited and Mr. Edwin Hui, CFA, Head of Investor Relations Asia, Standard Chartered Bank to narrate the insider story to our audience.
 
 
About the Speaker:
 
Mr. Aldous Chiu, CFA, BEng(Hon), MBA, EMBA, General Manager – Investor Relation of New World Development Company Limited. He is of the Group management team and is mainly responsible for supporting the Board of Directors and the Group’s investor relations matters like the engagement of the investor community including institutional investors, investment banks, analysts and rating agencies. He is also involving in corporate activities like IPO, M&A, bond issuance, stakeholders’ engagement initiatives, corporate governance initiatives, results announcements, and annual report.
 
Aldous joined New World Group in 2002. Before joining New World Group, Mr. Chiu has extensive experience in equity research and management consultancy specializing in conglomerate, real estate, retail, supply chain management, operation reengineering and business strategy.
 
Mr. Chiu holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Guanghua School of Management of Beijing University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® holder since 2001.

Mr. Edwin Hui, CFA, Head of Investor Relations Asia, currently heads up the Investor Relations team in Asia for Standard Chartered Bank. He re-joined the bank in 2012 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a research analyst covering Hong Kong and China Financials.  He began his career with Standard Chartered Bank in 2003, and has a broad range of experiences in Corporate Banking, Retail Banking and Investor Relations.
 
Edwin holds a Masters degree in Finance and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He is a CFA® charterholder.

About the Moderator:

Ms. Vanilla Dong, CFA, has over 10 years banking experience in Greater China region including recent 10 years focusing on credit risk management. She is currently Vice President of CIB Credit Risk at JPMorgan Chase Bank, heading the HK team managing the whole Hong Kong credit portfolio (including corporate, sovereign and financial institutions), MNC inbound HK booking credit portfolio and China’s credit portfolio in TMT and Real Estate industries. In her earlier years with JPMorgan, she also covered China financial institutions and Taiwan corporate in Global Credit Risk Management.  Prior to joining JPMorgan in 2006, she was a corporate banker with ABN AMRO Bank, Shanghai Branch covering Taiwan and Hong Kong corporate portfolio. Vanilla holds a BA degree in Finance from Fudan University. She received CFA charter in 2006 and became FRM in 2007.
